I am wondering about getting rid of my pubic hair because I want to try something new. My problem is that I don't want the stubble from shaving or no hair at all from waxing. So I figured trimming (with scissors) would be the perfect solution, but does it cause the hair to appear darker and coarser? Also any tips for doing this are appreciated. Thanks in advance !

I dont think that scissors would be very safe around that area, I would just use a razor because it is fairly safe and I doubt you will have very much stubble, and as long as you dont cut aginst the grain you should not have to worry about irritation.

Scissors are safe to use, just gotta be careful lol. I'm mainly concerned with regrowth because if I don't like my pubic hair trimmed I'd want it to grow back but not appear darker/rougher.

Hair growing back coaser and darker due to shaving or trimming is a myth. If you want to trim your pubic hair, scissors are fine, but as it's been mentioned, you should be careful, and don't just attack it like you would a tree with hedge clippers.

Pubes from either gender are basically the same, so the 'rules' apply to both. Personally, I think anyone who actually puts a razor down there is nuts, those things are super sharp and one slip..! So, scissors or electric seem most sensible and safer. And, they do not grow in darker or coarser, but if they're shorter they might seem stiffer, the length of hair makes it more flexible, and flexible=softer.

I use scissors all the time to trim mine and they havent changed colour or gotten rougher. Go for it ;)

Ditto, just make sure that you use some sort of shaving cream to stop chafing down there.
