Ok so this isnt exactly about sexuality but this is as close as i can get i think so sorry if this is the wrong spot. So recently (for about 1 year) I've been very confused about my gender. I am a girl on the outside but on the inside i feel az though i may be a boy. Ive always had guy best friends since preschool and have always been a hugeeee tomboy. I hqve beenwearing boy clothes and been trying to flatten my chest for a year now. In the last year i have grown to dislike my "girl parts" and have dreamt of having facial hair ans having a flat chest. Ive talked to my mom about it and i was hoping to see a therapist but my sister is depressed and is already seeing a therapiat so i think my mOmdoes not find this as important. I started my first period 3 months ago and now i wish to be a boy much more now. Iam so sad and angry all at once. I really want to know what i am, who i am. Am i a girl or boy? I would love some outside support. I have been afraid to approach my mom because i always doubt myself while talking to her. Any help is appre iated. Thanks.

I feel the same way, though on the opposite end. I'm a boy, and wish I had been born a girl.
Though, I don't act like it, nor take steps (such a taking hormone pills or anything), it's just another thing that depresses me.

I really wish I could help.

For a start, this is called gender dysphoria. The general reference to people who experience gender dysphoria is transgender. For both of you, the options are there. You can go to counselling to make you comfortable with the gender you were born with, you can simply go on with life but identify as the opposite gender, or you could take hormones/have a sex change. If you feel that you would rather become the opposite gender than just identifying as the opposite gender, you should look into hormones and sex changes. If you don't want to be the opposite gender, and don't want to be discontent, you could go to counselling for it, but counselling for such matters is widely frowned upon.
But the most important thing to take from this: you're both experiencing gender dysphoria.
Hope this helped you two. :)
And if you guys want, you can VM me.

You should watch My Transsexual Summer it is about a group of transsexuals living together, I don't believe I was born the wrong gender but it was very interesting and for you hopefully enlightening.

1. My circumstances render me unable to get counselling.
2. What does that even mean to 'identify as the opposite gender'? I'm not a girl, so pretending to be one would be silly.
3. I have goals in life that transitioning or having a sex change would butcher.

I'm sorry to hear that. Is there any helplines that might be there for you?

It's hard to explain.

Well I think you need to decide: Do you want your goals achieved, or do you want to be comfortable in your own body?

Not unless there is a free, non-vocal place I can get help.

It's hard to explain.
I'm all ears. c:

If I had to make an ultimatum, I'd rather reach my desired accomplishments.

What are these accomplishments?

What are these accomplishments?

Mainly to seek and establish the recognition and affluence of my family.
Most likely by attaining high political office. I'm very charismatic, believe it or not.

But think of this:
If you transitioned, then got into office, think of how much safer trans people would feel. To have someone on their side.

I don't feel comfortable taking such drastic sides, especially when it risks alienating the conservative backbone of America. If the trans rights movement becomes mainstream enough, perhaps.

But it won't become mainstream because almost everyone in power, everyone respected and admired is the same: Straight.
