I've been doing this for awhile now, but I scratch myself very hard on my wrist or thighs or whatnot and it gets a little bad sometimes to where I would end uo cutting my wrist open with my nails on accident because all I wanted to do was scratch. I don't know, is it really considered self harm?

It is only self harm if you do it to hurt yourself. If you just want to scratch yourself and this happens, you should get some skin cream or cut your nails ;)

Anything you do to harm yourself is considered self harm, it doesn't even matter what level of seriousness it actually is. However, if you're not purposefully doing it, I don't personally think it's self harm, just more of a bad habit.
