Right and Wrong
When you watched Disney movies with princesses,
She was right because she wanted to be Cinderella,
You were wrong because you want to be Prince Charming.
When you played Mommies and Daddies with your friends,
She was right because she wanted to be the Mommy,
You were wrong because you wanted to be the Daddy.
When you play with your dolls,
She was right because she wanted the Barbie doll,
You were wrong because you wanted to be Ken.
When you played with toys,
She was right because she had dolls and makeup,
You were wrong because you had cars and trucks.
When you played dress-up,
She was right because she wanted to look like a princess,
You were wrong because you wanted to look like a prince.
When you gossiped about crushes,
She was right because she liked the popular guy,
You were wrong because you liked the popular girl.
When you had first kisses,
She was right because she kissed a boy,
You were wrong because you kissed a girl.
When you went to Prom,
She was right because she went with her boyfriend,
You were wrong because you had the courage to go with your girlfriend.
And when you killed yourself,
She was wrong because she said you were so many times before,
And you were right, because you had only ever been right.
