I already am somewhat friends with her, and we're both in a group for troubled or depressed people through the school. The only times we ever talk to each other is in our Japanese class and the group I mentioned, I just don't know "how" to tell her because I'm kind of socially awkward.

What I usually do when I like a guy is write them a note. Even though I am VERY obvious with my feelings, I write them a note anyways. It could be something generic as will you go with me, or something like the reasons you like her.

The best part about telling people how you feel is when you finally leave the comfort zone and tell them. You finally can feel like whatever happens, you were capable of it, and you can try it again.
