Hi, I was wondering what is the differenct between the different romances like these new terms hetero-romantic, homo-romantic and heterosexuality and homosexuality? I know one person who admits to being homosexual yet he says he never has had a romantic relation to guys but to girls even though he said girls do not arouse him... it sounded contradictory to me...

Sexual orientation is sexual attraction.
Romantic orientation is romantic attraction.
They usually (but not always) match into one label like straight, gay or bi. When they don't match, things get more complicated.

Yeah, what Jayson said.
If you are bisexual, it means you are physically and sexually attracted to both sexes.
If you are biromantic, it means you are romantically and emotionally attracted to both sexes.

Alright, so what happens when your sexual orientation doesn't match up with your romantic orientation?

Let's say...
You are romantically attracted to both genders, but only sexually attracted to the opposite gender, then you'd be a biromantic heterosexual.
If you're romantically attracted to both genders, but not sexaully attracted to any gender, then you'd be an asexual biromantic.

That was comfusing as hell. It sounds like a bad case of discontent to me.

Okay, let me simplify.
If you feel love towards both genders, but only want to fuck the same gender, that's biromantic heterosexual.
If you feel love towards both genders, but don't want to fuck anyone, you're biromantic asexual.

What do you think Romance means? I'm pretty sure romance and sexual attraction go hand-in-hand. Unless the definition of romance has changed since last I checked.

Yes, they do go hand in hand, but labels get more complex when it doesn't exactly match up.
