I think that if she's shy she probably wouldn't flirt with you, but if she looks at you a lot (I mean a lot, not just a glance every now and then) she might like you. And if she looks away immediately after you've seen her, it's another sign. But... don't stare at her constantly to see if she's been looking at you. That's just creepy. Some girls also do little things around the guys they like, like playing with their hair or smiling a lot.

Getting noticed can also depend on what kind of girl you're trying to attract. I think a subtle approach is better, myself. Like just making jokes in class or whenever she happens to be within hearing range. Clean jokes are probably better at first, unless she knows you already and doesn't care about that kind of thing.

i almost always know when a girl likes me. just watch them a little and see how they act around you. sometimes (this may sound offensive, but it's not meant to be) you can just see what they'll do for you. if they really like you, you can ask them to do something simple for you and just sort of experiment. like others said, flirting is a great way to see if they like you or not; experiment around with flirting too-see if they'll want to flirt with you even if you don't flirt back. good luck!

There are many ways to tell. She might give you a very short glance when she walks past.

My approach would to ask if she likes you. You find out, and if she says yes, then you got yourself a girlfriend.

But if you feel uncomforatble, look for the little sings. If she talks to you a lot, flirts with you, plays with her hair when shes talking to you, stares at you, and sometimes seems tense when she talks to you.
