It has to do with manual labor, not necessarily poor. If they're doing yardwork, they're outside all day getting tan; and if they're doing manual labor, they're generally not paid much. Correlation without causation; it's a confounding variable.

Not everyone in the south has a redneck, but people from all different geographic areas have an accent; if I spoke, most people would hear a New York/New Jersey accent. It's not offensive, it's just a fact.

Canadians are nice (In my experience, true.)

Probably no more nicer than people from tourist cities of other countries, but yes, the people of Niagara Falls were nice to my family and me.

Here are mine:

1) British people have bad teeth.

I've been to England (London, Shrewsbury, a few places in between), and I was surprised how crooked everyones' teeth were. At least 80-85% of people that I saw or met would have braces had they been American. Probably a cultural thing.

2) Americans are fat.

Obesity rates are rising, so I can see why this exists. Obviously not all people are fat, and our athletes are just as extremely fit (if not more so) than many other countries, and the number of healthy people are probably just as high (if not higher) than other first world countries. But the proportion of overweight people is higher than most countries.

I make it a personal mission of mine to try and not succumb to any stereotypes, especially as they can be harmful.

However I'll join in on what ones I know about Ireland.

1) The Irish drink all the time.
Irish pub culture is infamous worldwide and for a good reason. Although we are not all raging alcoholics, the pub is an excellent place for social interaction and even pioneers will inevitably make their way into a pub for the warm and boisterous atmosphere.

2) All Irish love potatoes.
True? Some don't of course, but the majority of people will have at least one or two potatoes with their dinner each day. A traditional Irish Breakfast is one of my favourite meals ever.

3) All Irish are redheads.
Actually, less than 4% Irish people are natural redheads.

4) The Irish gift of Gab.
True! This tiny island has produced so many literary greats such as James Joyce, Bram Stoker, Oscar Wilde, William Butler Yeats and George Bernard Shaw. But you needn't slough your way though their books, just enter any local Irish pub and you'll be bowled over by witty debate and conversation.

The main difference between the Americans and the Irish in this regard is what the Irish aren't saying. As a culture we have perfected the art of talking a lot but saying little. Personal problems are rarely discussed in favour of political debate, sport and weather.

Yeah, not everyone in the South is a redneck. But everyone born and raised does have some type of accent, although with practice and years away from it - it can go away. Every different place in the South has a different accent though. Even right here in the Carolinas, the closer you get to the Mountains the "countrier" and more high-pitched a lot of voices sound. I've even noticed people from the Gulf Coast of Florida sound a lot different than people on the Eastern side.

That's not really true, I will reject most stereotypes about the US, because I live in it and know them to be false, or at least most of them are. Whereas, I don't know as much about if it's true when talking about other countries, just my experiences talking to them online. So stereotypes aren't really lies, just biased opinions.

What is your obession with G8, they have no legal power. The reason we can't intervene in Syria is because of the United Nations Security Council, the G8 are nothing to do with Syria.

no it doesn't, unless the poll interviews everyone in the country then you can't get a balanced view. They tend to only interview about 100 people and even then they can be biased or the question can be misleading.
