I don't understand why this happens?

Why do girls show/look like they like me but when I ask them out I get rejected. I'm a really nice guy who tries to treat everyone well. All girls even think I'm a nice guy, but I just don't get it. With a girl I like I acted myself (being nice) and told her that I like her, she was surprised and then didn't tell me how she felt back. After she said that she liked another guy who is also nice to people. Why? Could it be because I'm too nice or because of my Indian background? If so I hate the fact that all Indian guys have ruined it for other indian people like me (when trying to find a white girlfriend) :/ So why do girls not like me back but show that they like me and when I ask them out they reject me and I loose a good friend in the process?

Don't say I should go for indian girls I'm not attracted to them.

Well if they like other guys, then your out of luck from the start. I can tell you now that it isn't your race. If someone judges you for that, they aren't worth your time... Anyways, you'll find the right girl. It doesn't have to be in highschool. My advise is to keep doing what your doing. Nice is a good thing. If you try to become a douche or something else that you aren't, it won't end well for you.

Some girls act really close with guys just because they feel comfortable around them. So it's probably awkward for them to go out with a friend like that, like a guy dating his ex-girlfriend's friend for example. Keep trying ; o ; You'll find a girl who really does like you (even though she may act like she doesn't)
