It's not necessarily bad that your period has skipped for 2 months nor is it uncommon. Here are things that can cause you to skip periods or be late:
*Depending on how long you've had periods -- it's possible that you're not regular [though you have been]
*Sexual activity either protected or unprotected sex since birth control [even condoms or Emergency Contraception a/k/a Morning After Pill] can fail or be misused
*Stress can delay periods
*Eating disorder
*Increased exercise
*Significant weight gain or less
*Recent illness
These and other reasons can be found fromWebmd (http://women.webmd.com/tc/missed-or-irregular-periods-topic-overview) Kotex (http://www.ubykotex.com.au/menstruation/period-problems/skip/) & MedicineNet (http://www.medicinenet.com/missed_menstrual_period/symptoms.htm) and here (http://www.mypregnancybaby.com/reasons-missed-period-not-pregnant/)
By no means am I implying that you're pregnant or have had sex but it's advice if you are...If you've had sex recently -- getting a home pregnancy test or test at a Women's Clinic -- your doctor -- or Planned Parenthood wouldn't hurt. If you're pregnant -- the sooner you see a doctor -- the more prenatal care you can get and the more you can discuss your options.

How long have you been getting your period?

being that you're only 13, its possible that if you started fairly recently, you may not be regular yet. I'm 13 and haven't even started mine yet but but my dr said it may not be regular at first. I'm sure you are fine.

Yes this is okay. First is what was already asked. Are you sexually active and would there be any reason for you to suspect pregnancy?
If not, then I would not worry, girls I was in school with always said period is once a month or 28 days when I was first that age of getting mine. But to be correct that is just a very loose rule. Some women have all different times of cycles. I for one, never became regular for years. Sometimes monthly then not for three or four months. Then really light flow, then super heavy. Finally at age 15 my doctor put me on a low does form monthly birth control just specifically to regulate my period to a very predicable cycle. Also to make in normal and not cause me major cramping. So I would say at this point if you are not doing unprotected sex I would not worry too much.

My first two years were completely irregular, I had my first period, then for three months nothing, then I got two periods separated by 19 days, then 30 something. I got regular about two years ago on every 27-30 days, depending on stress. ;)
So as many other's said if you are not sexually active, you should not worry about pregnancy. If this becomes a pattern, you might want to check with a gyno to make sure you have no ovarian cysts.

I've had my period for 6 years (since I was 11) and they've never been regular..they havent necessarily skipped months in the past year (that last time I skipped was a 3 month gap..) but theyre actually coming more often than expected now. I used to get them every month on the 19th exactly for about 3 months, but now I'm getting them every 2 and a half to 3 weeks. but in the recent past, it was every 5 weeks so it's skipping a lot..Is that normal? my mom is such a procrastinator and has been saying she'll take me to the gyno for 3 months but hasnt even made the effort to make an appt..

I'm a virgin, so I haven't had sex, and I started last November, so I have only had my period about 3 or 4 times. I've been really moody lately, so maybe its not too far away. Thanks for your answers. I got kind of worried but this makes me feel better :)

if you haven't had sex, and have only had it 3-4 times, i'd say its perfectly normal.
I was always somewhat monthly from the very first one and I've never missed one, but my sister went something like four months between the 1st and 2nd, and two months between the 2nd and 3rd, so its perfectly normal.
if you feel like you're starting to get some of the signs, i'd say it isn't far off. soon enough you'll be able to count the days and be pretty accurate with it too
