First post here..so here goes..
I'm 14 and I've never had a relationship- I've been asked out by girls, but I've always known I'm gay so..rejected! - but now I'm getting lonely.. All my friends have partners (the friends that I have) and I'm finding it difficult to get a boyfriend. I've been thinking about online sites but I just really don't know. Where I live there are hundreds of gay bars, but I'm not 18 so I can't exactly stroll into one and pick up a guy.. Help?
Cheers,
Alex

I feel the same way. Like you just need someone to talk to you and comfort you. I have plenty of girls at school who like me but I just reject them. Noone knows I'm gay so I can't really ask for advice. But maybe you would like to talk.

I know exactly what you mean, and its driving me nuts! I can't tell everyone (2 friends know) yet, b/c my sister who is in the same year will find out about it within 5 seconds and she will tell mum & dad and they will tell grandparents etc, so its all or nothing :L I guess if you have your eye on a specific guy and you think he will take it well, then ask, but I wouldn't recommend online dating at 14, so I guess you will just have to keep a look out for someone. I expect it will be many years before I can have a relationship :(

Here is how I found a boyfriend.
Step 1: Find a boy who isn't homophobic or anything and who you like
Step 2: Ask him out
Step 3: Profit
Alternatively, go to your school's GSA/QSA/whatever to find gay people. At my school, GSA is also known as gay hookup club because most of the people who show up are really just looking for other gay people.
I wouldn't use online sites because the internet can have all sorts of creepy strangers. And, as you mentioned, gay bars aren't an option. Don't feel pressured to get a boyfriend though, as you grow older you only end up meeting more and more gay people.

If you have other gay or bi friends, get to know them better and hang out with them more. It kind of worked for me, though I'm not technically in a relationship. Go to GSA also.

That is pretty much it dude. When school starts up again next year I am making a bee line to the LGBT support group, even though I'll probably be the youngest there. And just say it to people you like. Be cool though. Something like "Look, you know I'm gay, and I like you in that way, and I'm fine if you don't like me that way."
