1) Just take time out with him (just the two of you) and see how he feels. Sometimes alcohol can complicate things and people feel guilty afterwards (irrespective of the sex of the couple). Sometimes it helps people let their feelings open up. I hope it works out for you.
2) Maybe something, maybe nothing. You both may have just been a little too rough, and it just needs a day or two to rest. If it's still sore after a few days, check with your doctor just to be on the safe side.
