What is so great about drugs?

I don't understand why people aged 16 and over start taking drugs. I am 18 and know two girls who who are 17 took drugs. One of them, the result was bad (don't want to say what happened). The other one, I found out from school that the night before that she took drugs from some of her friends (she was sick from school the day I found out).

Just wondering whats so interesting about drugs and why is it so amusing? I'm wondering this because it is the final years of school and it could be important to life and why take drugs. I will lead to problems in the future.

A bit of it is people see it as a release from the day to day struggles that they are involved in.
People take opiates because it makes whatever you are doing feel great, Regardless of what it is,
People take Weed and depressants to relax them but that can also be very dangerous.
Some people just enjoy the feeling of being "fucked up" which is why lots of people get copiously drunk and other people take hallucinagens.
There are lots of reasons, Maybe it's their way out

Ive never taken any drugs in my life except alchole but i do not overdose. Drugs makes you feel energized , happy , hallucinate and makes you much more focused at first. The effects depend on the kind of drug. But after a few times of taking drugs , you will get addicted to that and the bad effects will start... It damages your brain and it changes the way of your living .

I taken drugs since I was 15. from weed to painkillers to cocaine. I only got addicted to pills til I passed out from a overdose and threw up everything. but weed was a great relaxer and it helped me with my insomnia. painkillers were just a way to get rid of bullshit while I was in school. I took aderral so I can focus in school and to just get that good feeling I once took MDMA on accident and it got me so hyped up that I couldn't sleep for 2 days. cocaine actually helped me passed all my exams

Seems like a loaded question. Let me ask op, what is so great about masturbating? It feels great, even though its more of a guilty pleasure. "I'm so proud, I masturbated 3 times today!" said nobody, ever. Same goes for drugs, it's some people's guilty pleasure that makes them feel great. It's hard to think about the bad side effects when you're higher than the clouds just like its hard to process the shame when you're jerkin' it for the 4th time in a day. Of course I've never done anything more than weed, but that's another story...

i started because i was curious and the fact that they were forbidden just made me want to do them more
then i kept doing them because they feel good, both to party (md and coke) and to relax (weed and tramadol). Also to trip balls with lsd but i only have done it twice
