Which is better?

I understand that if we see posts that may violate site rules or that may be in the wrong forum -- we're allowed to report them.

However -- let's say I notice a user who had multiple violations from their posts -- is it better to report each of them? Or is it better to PM a moderator and say &&&&&&&&&& is on a rampage? Lame question -- which has a better response time?

Either would be fine, and either would work. Regardless of which one you chose to do, the situation would be taken care of. :)

If you report something, then any staff member from that section, a global moderator or an administrator will be able to see the report -- if you PM one staff member, then he or she may not be online to catch it right away. Both are appreciated and in more extreme circumstances, like you mentioned, it may be helpful to do both actually! Just use your judgement when deciding.

If you report 3 or 4 items from the same person, and we see that name appear in several places with all kinds of ridiculous things, then we're likely to take a look. If it's just in one section, then go ahead and PM a moderator of that section with the problem.
