when to seek medical attention/intro
alright, at one point, you may cut too deep. if you dont have any medical experience it is very scary. if you think it needs stitches, go tell someone IMMEDIATELY. it is very important that if you cant stop the bleeding yourself to go seek medical attention.
knowing you cut too deep:
okay, if it just bleeds a couple drops, its normal and fine. if you cut to the point to where you see the fat under your skin, you have definitely cut too deep. also, if there is a lot of bleeding, like to the point of it trickling down both sides of your arm and dripping onto the floor, you have also cut too deep.
What you NEED to go get
if you cut often, and you have been cutting deeper, you MUST go buy these items, you can find them at your local drug store.
*Gaws
*medical tape
*wrapping, like for when you hurt your ankle.
*Neosporin (idk the spelling ; - ; ), plus pain relief is a good idea to get, unless you can deal with it...
*having a washcloth is a good idea too
How to do this... ; - ;
1 okay, if you dont want a mess, first get a wet CLEAN washcloth, and apply to the wound.
2 keep it wrapped in the washcloth as you get the things ready... okay, you need a washcloth :P
3 open the wrapping and put a few gaws on the spot where you are going to put the wound, attach it with the medical tape.
4 wrap it on your arm, this could be tricky if you are by yourself. REMEMBER TO WRAP IT TIGHTLY
5 apply Neosporin after the wound has stopped bleeding for a while. make sure you wait a little while so you dont open it again.
6 wash the wound every other day and apply Neosporin after drying so it doesn't get infected.
7 change out the gaws every day and keep it wrapped up till it scabs over.
8 once every few days, let your wound breathe(take off the wrap), it helps form the scab... you should do this for about an hour.
Done
if you have any questions or comments, please tell me, and if you have any other advice please share it. ^-^
