I've been considering antidepressents, lately. Problem is, there is NO WAY I could talk my Dad into taking me to the doctor. It just won't happen.

So, I was thinking of some herbal or natural antidepressents. I MIGHT be able to talk my dad into that.

Anyone tried St.Johns Wort? Any suggestions on what I should try?

Therapists are not possible, I've tried exercise, I struggle with an eating disorder, and I keep getting worse. I don't know what else to try. I can't get motivated to do anything productive. I'm honestly afraid something bad is going to happen to me, if I don't get better.

Should I just go to the health food store and talk to someone who works there, and ask them what would be best to try?

Chamomile is pretty good. Not sure if it's used for depression, exactly, but chamomile tea is good for insomnia or anxiety.

Don't take St. John's Wort if you are any type of birth control, it reduces it's effectivity by a lot.

I've heard that saffron is a natural antidepressant but it wouldn't be very nice by it's self so if you're struggling with an eating disorder it may be difficult to make sure you take it.
