Hey there,
what do people think of online relationships? I've been single all my life, and I see little hope in sight, so I'm just trying to be open about new possibilities.
Has anybody here had any experience with online relationships?
Is it a bad idea?

Get on a proper, discreet dating website if you want to do it.

i have had some good experiences with online relationships, in my opinion they last longer. but it takes a lot of trust to date someone online... ; - ; thats all i really have to say... also, it kinda sucks because if they cheat you cant go yell at him/her or anything...

How did you meet them online?
Like, if I wanted an online relationship, where would I start?

Well ... One of the girls from usa loved me in facebook. She was nice too , but you know , i couldnt accept cause we were so far away , and we could just see each others face... Non of us knew if we would like each others personality in real life....
I'd rather not to have an online relationship . But its ok if you want

I see no problem with them, but personally I'd never do one.

They're okay, they can work out for some people.

I don't recommend it. And not to be like there are creepy people on the internet, but I had a friend who was "sexually assaulted" by a guy she met on the internet.
Try to find someone other people know.

Don't do it, online relationships always have a few details that will ruin it completely, I had a HORRIBLE online relationship about a year and a half ago.

Go for it! It just depends on who you meet.. I've met people through facebook, omegle, and chatlands (such as wolfhome, lupinar, & catspawisland) and most of them are nice.

I honestly don't recommend it. They just don't feel the same in my opinion. Honestly, the few online relationships I've been in, I don't even count as relationships. Just because I was never really in love, I couldn't form those emotions about the other person without being with them. And then of course you have the whole trust issue thing, whether they're a sexual predator or not, yada yada yada. Like I said, I don't recommend it.

I personally wouldn't.
You really want to know the person properly before you commit to it.
However, at the end of the day it is your choice, not anyone on this forums.

They are doomed to failure unless you have the means to see each other, and even then. The strain of travelling adds up quickly and putting your life on hold for a few days to be with the other can be harsh. There's a proverb in French that I find holds true : "loin des yeux, loin du coeur". The more you are together physically, the better. If you just can't, forget about it.
