Highlight OP Posts

I have no idea if this is even possible, but if it is:

I think it'd be really useful if anytime the OP posts in the thread, the post stands out a little more. Maybe the background becomes a little bit brighter or the text is a little bigger or something? Too many times have I seen someone create a thread, have a few people reply, then the OP responds with more information but then people respond based only on the first post. If it's possible, I think it'd be really beneficial.

If it were possible, it seems like a good idea. That being said it might require having to script each theme with that in, which could take a lot of time.

I actually do see the point in this, and I think it's interesting. However, one should theoretically read more than just the first post.. Obviously it's hard if it's like a 3 page thread, but scroll through and see, etc. The only difference with your idea is it's colored, and I don't know if it would make people read if they don't now.. I feel like they'd still just read the OP and reply to that.. It's not a matter of not seeing the OPs other posts, it's not reading for them, I think. I could be wrong though. But yeah, coding this for all themes would also be hard. I don't think I can see this happening, although it is an interesting idea.

I understand what you mean but it could also be useful if you post in a thread then if you look at it again after a couple days, you could easily get all the details again if you forget what they said about the situation.

Obviously I only suggest it if it's easy to do. If it requires a lot of coding then forget it.
