Does anyone else here who is gay or bi and out feel uncomfortable around their friends, like you can't be who you are?
Like, when I'm with my friends, all I'm thinking is "Don't say something gay" because you know how girls just throw comments around about "That guy's hot", but I don't feel I can say "That girl's hot" around my friends. I'm comfortable with who I am, it's just I don't know if everyone else is. I don't want to make my friends uncomfortable. But should I act more like myself and be open about this or should I be all private with it?

Well I'd think people would feel comfortable around their friends. Unless they aren't actually your friends. I think you should be open about it because those who do not accept you for who you are really aren't worth your time.

I used to be so uncomfortable around my friends with things like that, but they respected me more when I was 100% open around them. The best thing to do is to take things at your own pace, one day just come out with something you wouldn't normally and see how they react. Go from that and see how it all progresses, however, you can't be anything other than you so sooner or later you'll need to open and free and if they don't like it, fuck them.

I'm not out, so I'd never discuss it in public. Even if I was, I wouldn't go around and say that a guy looks cute or something like that. It's not how I am, and I'm not comfortable doing that, guy or girl.

As far as I know, I haven't said much to make people question my sexuality. So, for the most part, I don't have to worry too much about it.

All except a small few of my friends are totally fine with me being gay/bi. In fact, most of my friends are not straight. this makes it tons easier to remark on stuff like that, but usually I don't like to speak my mind.
