No. She is not and never will be the Secretary of State, we have the Foreign office for that. Why does everything think that she helps with foreign trade or treaties? Did she sign the Lisbon Treaty? British Pound is the strongest currency in the world, it's value went up with the Royal wedding, and its value went up again with the news of a new heir to the throne. The monarchy is also what's stopping Britain from being absorbed into the EU, thank god for that. Yes, it will probably get ruined after 10 generations due to the increasing human factor in the ecuation or get tumbled down the day the elections are won by the communists/socialists. I would let the queen stay, but confiscate all that unused land and make her pay taxes for her castles and shit just like any other citizen. Yes in curent british society the queen and her familie should be taxed and relived of all duties (exept ceramonial like opening bridges) and have all their titled taken avay, a new head of state elected.

im more open to this but britian is in a time of trouble we dont need this, she still must have a paycheck, her title and staff but no power and lost her position if head of state, this isnt terrible but im still in favor of the queen
