I just made my first blog entry. The side panel say's that it's "Uncategorized". How do you select "Local Categories" and does it even matter if it has a category? Thanks.

You can click that pencil on the left where it says blog categories. From there you can make a category

When you create a blog, there's an option to place the blog in a category. If you don't choose one (or don't have any categories created) it's automatically placed in Uncategorized.

I wonder why it's saying i don't have permission to access my brother's blog.... or anyone else's for that matter?

It says that for me, too. I think you can only access your own blog. You can't directly access people's blogs, I don't think. But you can access them through the Blogs tab at the top of the screen.

You need to edit your blog settings, so other people can see it.
