What should Serbia buy for it's air force?

Ok, here are the choices:

Modernized MiG-29s, initally made for Syria, but the war broke out first. Traits:
Great physical characteristics (aerodynamics, shape, wing span etc.), crappy computer systems.

US-made F-16s, modernized. Traits:
Crappier physical characteristics then the Russian MiGs, great computer systems.

Chinese variations on Sukhoi and MiGs, not sure about the models. Traits:
Good physichal characteristics, between the upper two I think, computer systems are between the two also.

My opinion:
Take the Chinese fighters. They are cheaper and more advanced then the MiG-29s, despite those being modernized. I would rather buy new planes which would be modernized 10 years later, and be better then then the MiGs and serve longer.

We should have at least 60 modern planes, and focus more on AA systems. Now we have rockets which can reach 10000 meters. We should have rockets which can reach 15000+ meters. Why I mentioned the planes is because we have 50 planes of which only 4 can counter modern fighters. We still have our helicopter industry, but I think the Air Force did not make any orders since '05 or earlier.

Because if shit hits the fan like in '99, I would not like my ground forces defenceless if my planes are shot down. AA missile systems was what I was talking about, not AA cannons. Jets are too fast for those. Why do the ass-scratching in NATO to save yourself if you can arm yourself so that an air invasion would be easily repelled, while a ground invasion would bog down in a stalemate, and the enemy driven off after a year max. It is because our crappy old systems i the '90s could only lock on targets up fo 5000 meters. If NATO would not lose a million men about something trivial, they would fall bak since it is not worth the loss.

Flares are not 100% efficient. Your planes had them in '99, but we shot down the ones that strayed too low. Not much strayed lower then 5000 meters though. It could be easy to repel you if we have air superiority. Even if we do not, after NATO loses 500,000 men, there would be enough space for a peace negotiation.

While Kosovo was under the Ottoman Empire, Albanian bandits were trying to ethnically cleanse the Serbs on Kosovo, and had the full support of Albanian leadership back then. Serbian Kingdom deployed covert troops to attempt to stop the violence. After the Balkan wars, Serbia got Kosovo, so the problem wa solved. When the nineties started, Yugoslavia fell apart, Kosovo Albanians started getting violent. The government sent police and military forces to stop it. NATO got involved just like they did in Bosnia. Another reason to start attending international military excersises, also referred as "wargames". I am still pretty proud that our army is slowly moving from '50s-'80s armamets to the late '90s and 21st century armaments. Air force has still to be worked on. We have 50 fighters of which only 4 are theoretically able to counter modern enemy fighters. Iraqi pilots weren't shit, they knew how to operate their planes, but the NATO forces had better training amd more numbers.

I saw those. They look similar to the F-16s in physical appearance, but I do not know anything about their electronics or anything else to make a good judgement. My grandfather was in the air force, he retired in '91, he says those are the German versions of the F-16. I know Germans make good tanks and all that, but I do not know about modern planes due to the fact that I never read about them.
