View Full Version : Is it better to ask out a teenage girl or tell her that you really like her?

I'm a really nervous guy and asking out a girl is a fairly difficult thing for me to do. I've asked out a few girls before who were good friends, after I asked those girls out they rejected me and I lost them as a friend. I don't want that to happen again so I'm thinking about telling her how I feel but i'm afraid that might scare her away. So i'm not sure what to do. If I ask her out I risk the friendship ending if she doesn't accept or I tell her how I feel and she gets scared and finds me weird.

Either way you run the risk of losing her as a friend, but it is certainly not definite. I think it is well worth committing but remember to keep it all in perspective and if she doesn't reciprocate your feelings then thats ok, take a step back and do your best to continue as you were before (it may be awkward at first but if you can move beyond it then things will be back to normal in no time). So, that said, I think you should just ask her out on a date, it can be a test date to begin with as to not scare her off. This means you avoid the awkwardness of telling her abruptly that you really like her and it shows you are confident. It also gives her a chance to like you back, instead of having to determine her feelings on the spot.
So...ask her out! Good luck!
