Hey guys, lately I have been wondering if I should start taking vitamins or muscle building shakes and etc... All my friends do at school, but do they really make a difference? Any side effects? Thanks!

Muscle building are basically mass gainers.. Not a good idea unless you want muscle.. If you want defined and toned body stick to protein and healthy diet along with a workout routine

here's your answer, at least from me:
Person A on my wrestling team is drinking protein shakes, and getting fatter.
Person B on my wrestling team is drinking protein shakes and getting buff.
Whats the difference?

All you need is multivitamin tablets and if you do intense workouts then a protein shake, nothing special or cool. You could have lots of chicken as well.

Well it depends on what kind of vitamins you take if you want to build muscles you have to take magnesium and calcium every thing else is bad for example steroids they make you stronger and grow muscles very fast but it totally destroy reproduction system . To build muscles fast you must have a healthy diet too full of vitamins and proteins , and train hard ;)

There's no such thing as a muscle building shake... only protein/carbs/calorific shakes to supplement your diet and help you to hit your macros. None of the above are necessary but do have a place in bodybuilding. There are 0 side effects to any of the things you have listed, and i mean 0... Whey protein is a product of the manufacture of milk (from milk whey) it's still a food stuff, and the multivitamin is a vitamin... anything you don't need will be excreted through urine. let me know if you want me to clear anything up :)

It depends on how intense your work outs are and how much protein you are getting from just your diet.
