I only read the first book and a fifth of the second before I lost my patience. Wonderful writing, just extremely tedious. You'd have to read it to really know what I mean, I guess. I'll have to start watching the show at some point, although my friends keep spoiling it for me.

I read all books and watched all seasons and I really love it, especially that you don´t know who will survive! :D
I think the first and third season are very very good made, compared to the book, but the 2nd is not as good as the other two (still goood)

Well, I really like to read! I read all the time, and I liked the last few okay, but I don't know, I really didn't enjoy the first two.

If you had seen the series on TV before then it may have spoiled the books for you because you have this expectation and there are no surprises, with the later ones that haven't been made into the series yet, you have the element of surprise and its more enjoyable i find

I also watched the show before I read the books and I loved them. Before game of thrones I barely used to read and it was kinda slow reading the things I've seen but getting on to the later books it really was enjoyable, those 800 pages flew by. The books offered a lot more than the TV show like what the characters were thinking.

I love books, and i loved these ones even though i had seen the show, i didnt like the first ones as much because i knew what was coming but the later ones were great! I feel they do offer more in depth because you get the characters thoughts and feelings in a clearer view
