The first / indicates that it would matter what; for example, someone who had stolen a car or been arrested for carrying cocaine would be outside of my interests. Someone who had been arrested once for stealing a candy bar, or who had failed a drug test through poppyseed bagels would be fine.

The second / indicates that it would be situational. If they had been recently kicked out, their parents where dead, they had run out of rent money, or other such things it would be fine. If they had no education and had been roaming the slums for their entire lives, probably not.

A few things would be considered that are not listed. For example, someone who belongs to the 'popular' crowd who has historically disdained and shunned others would probably be out. Another big one is someone who is thin to the point of anorexia, which contrary to popular belief is not attractive at all.
