I can't stand my mother's boyfriend. Neither can my sisters. I can list a million reasons but I'd rather not.

She knows that we don't like him, but she thinks we are being selfish. Perhaps we are.

However, I don't even think she's HAPPY with him. There will be times that makes her think she's happy but overall I think she's miserable or annoyed.

We're her children, we can tell if she's actually happy. She's not. I think she's too afraid to end it or something. We know that she can do much better and be much happier.

Alas, it's her decision. Her life. But even so, it affects us & our overall family relationship--one that is falling apart every day. I don't know what to do.

Well keep in mind that is her life... I mean sure it's a shit deal, but it's just life. My advise is to talk to your mom about it. Tell her what's bothering you and your siblings.

Sounds like my mother's boyfriend. I never liked him. I told my mom about that but she just blamed me for trying to ruin her life again - I should mind my own buisness was her advise. I was 8 years old. They married and have to children together now. I can't stand this anymore, so I moved out two years ago. Best decision I've ever made. I still blame myself for abandon my brothers though.

The point is that there's not much you can do. You can try to talk to your mother but honestly I don't think she'll leave her boyfriend. She might be not very happy with him, but maybe she feels worse without him. Or just give her time, maybe she'll see he's not good for her..

In the end we have to deal with our parents choices (no matter how much we hate it). I hated my moms bf and she knew it, but they stayed together...hell they're married now.! I just have to deal with it.
