Can someone help me out? I have had a great life aside from my parents divorcing and being bullied. I have just been able to let all the bs in my life go up until recently... I bottled everything up inside for 7 years and it just all exploded in my face this year. I cut myself but that didn't help me and then I thought about ending it all. I was fine for a few weeks and now the suicidal thoughts are back. I want to cut but I promised a friend (who is also the girl I like) that I wouldn't cut anymore. Someone help please!

I've also been bottling up everything for years. And I've also started cutting as everything got too much. I regret this decision now, and I took my years to actually stop and totally recover. It’s very important that you have a friend you can trust and talk to. But to make promises like this can make it worse, because if you’re not able to keep the promise you’ll probably feel as if you’ve disappointed your friend. Don’t blame yourself if that happens. Cutting is difficult to stop. But believe me there are other ways to deal with your feelings and learn how to stop blaming yourself for something which absolutely wasn’t your fault in no way! Keep on talking to friends, talk to your parents or see a doctor. That’s nothing bad – I’m in therapy for nearly a year and I recovered. Good luck!

Cole I know that you are in fact a guy however that does not mean you can't cry. Don't try to deal with your emotions physically. I know times are rough especially when all the feelings come leaking out. but you must persevere. What saves a lot of people a lot of the times is having a person to talk to. I am here to help but it seems like the girl you like can help tremendously. So don't feel shy to ask for some advice or a shoulder to lean on.
