"Joke"

Junior infants
You called me stupid
Because I had to get help
I cried in the yard
You said it was a "joke"
So life went on

Senior infants
You called me a baby
Because I still sucked my thumb
I sobbed in the bathroom
You said it was a "joke"
So life went on

First class
You called me four eyes
Because that year I got glasses
I wept in the classroom
You said it was a "joke"
So life went on

Second class
You called me fat
Because I was just a bit chubbier than the others
I ran off to behind the school
You said it was a "joke"
So life went on

Third class
You called me ugly
Because I didn't care as much about my appearance
I locked myself in the toilet
You said it was a "joke"
So life went on

Fourth class
You called me a teacher's pet
Because I got the highest grades
I fought back with my words
You said it was a "joke"
So life went on

Fifth class
You called me goth
Because I was friends with the girl who was different
I went home and slit my wrist
You said it was a "joke"
So life went on

Sixth class
You called me weak
Because my I cried when my friend committed suicide because of you
I went home and did the same
You said it was a "joke"
And so life
Went
On
