So me and my (ex) bestfriend were in psych class discussing prom.
Her : Do you wanna go to prom with me?
Me : Yes!

So the next day, I'm out and I text her and ask her if she was serious. (Note: I have a crush on her).
Her response: Naaaaa I was jkinnnnn (exactly like that).

I ignored her the next day because I was very upset. And began ignoring her even more and more as the week went by. She even asked me to help her on a Chemistry test and I said no. (I love chemistry and science, and I find it easy).

On Friday, I was at lunch with my friends and she is at a table across from us.
She tells my friends that I'm a little bitch, a pussy, and that I take things the wrong way and that I have no reason to be mad at her.

I told her she was a horrible friend, she has no empathy for people and she needs to watch what she says.

I feel bad kind of (even though people tell me I shouldn't.)

What should I do? Get her out of my life? or TRY (and possibly fail because she sucks at feelings) to reconcile with her? I did enjoy our friendship, but I don't know what to do really..

Well that wasn't very nice of her. I'd personally get her out of your life. However it is your choice what you do because you said you sorta feel bad. If that is the case, you shouldn't. That girl should never have led you on.

I think you should try and patch things up. I know it might be a bit awkward, but come on, it can't be that hard. You guys were best friends, after all. Everything will go back to normal, and most importantly - you won't feel guilty anymore.

It was immature for her to call you names. Buuut. Maybe that's her personality type, the feelings thing. I'm the same way. I don't really talk to friends about my feelings and would rather end a friendship than use and talk about feelings to try and mend it. I know it sound weird but that's just how I am. Maybe that's how she is. Don't give up though, this just appears to be a lot of hormones going crazy and I'm sure she will realize that she is wasting too much energy fighting with you and whatnot.
