Let's talk about death. Some celebrate it, but those in their right minds know it doesn't feel right.
Because it isn't. Sin is the reason why we die.
Simply put, if you look back, you'll see it.
But when I look back, I see glimpses of my close friends' deaths.
I don't want to look back, for it makes me feel bad.
I want to feel good and look forward.
Death is still in front of me and it feels just as bad.
I catch glimpses of future shootings and psychotic attacks on our security.
And death. Lots of it.
Why do we let this happen?
Is it mental health? Gun control?
Or is it that we make kings out of animals?
It's probably our movie making or our video gaming.
I have no idea, but I want a cure in the form of being saved.
Jesus will bring the antidote and shoot into the sky.
Our viruses will be driven out. Like death, most importantly.
He'll bring truth to every lie, justice to every crime.
No more shame will haunt us and tears won't fall.
No more hearts that break or homes brought down.
No more fear of being robbed or any other crime against justice.
No more abusive words or abusive touches.
No more cancerous cells that sell our relatives to the sea of sulfur.
No more hungry kids or vicious storms.
No more children having to ask where Dad is.
No more funerals, where we must wear black.
Death will be dead and we'll lock the casket!
YES!
Death used to make me cry.
But I know that the God we know will wipe every tear from my eye.
He'll make all things right
and we'll sing, "Goodbye, Death."
