Took some advice from another user, wrote a poem about the girl I care about, Emily.

How I Feel

I'm not gonna lie to you,
I don't wanna hide,
I can't always keep
All my feelings inside.

I know you'll blush extensively,
I know you won't believe,
But I've got to say my feelings,
This pressure I must relieve.

I know I'll never be yours,
And you'll never be mine,
But I hope you know that's ok,
I'll cope with it in time.

I know you'll never believe me,
When I say such lovely things,
Beautiful, smart, funny, words
Worth more than diamond rings.

I know you see the world in him,
The sun rises in his eyes,
But I'm telling you, he's not all he seems,
What you see may just be lies.

You don't have to listen,
You don't have to believe,
Just take my word, please take it,
Take it and take heed.

I'm not sure if you know this,
But you're beautiful to me,
You're smart, and funny,
Kind, caring, now do you see?

I'd give up loads of things for you,
My music, writing, life,
I know you care, but not that way,
But I'll ignore my strife.

Just seeing you suffices,
Calms me and keeps me sane,
When all I need is something right,
In this world of pain.

There was no songs for this,
I tried to write one, and failed,
So I wrote a poem instead for you,
Hoping it would be hailed.

But nothing can match his marvel,
His wondrous, amazing skill,
Or whatever it is about him,
That gives you such a thrill.

He knows how much I care for you,
I fear, he knows too well,
That I care more than he ever could,
And it troubles him like hell.

He doesn't know which way to turn,
So help the poor guy out,
We may be all agin him here,
But that's 'cos we think he's a clout.

We just want you to be happy,
And if he's what it takes,
I'll stay away and let ye be,
If relationships it makes.

So smile, my dear, and cheer up,
I'm always here for you,
I'll never, ever leave you here,
That's what I'll never do.

I'll be the brother that you don't have,
I will care, and protect, and love
I'll cross seas, climb mounts, run races,
Just to get to you, my love.

I'm sorry for this poem.
If you ever read it, you'll feel
Like it's your fault, when it's not,
That I'm the third wheel.

I love you, and I have to say it,
I just want to hold your hand,
To hold you tight, to be mine,
Such actions have been banned.

Good luck with him, that other guy,
I'll be here if he breaks you,
And always know this: that's something
That I would never do.

That's really amazing. The flow and rhyme scheme is lovely. And from a reader's perspective, you can really visualize and empathize with your pain and longing for Emily.

No problem. That's great you feel so strongly about her, but don't lose yourself in those feelings or because of those feelings. You deserve to be happy too. So stop worrying and thinking so much, and continue writing. It really is a joy to read. :)
