I was circumcised almost 4 months ago, and I think my doctor did a fine job, but I still have some swelling on the left side, just below the head, where the inner foreskin that was left (the pink stuff) is. I know doctors and everyone say that it only takes 6 weeks, or 2 months and on and on yata yata yata to heal... But I want to know from any of you who have were cut in your teens, how long does it actually take for ALL of the swelling to go down? Also did any of you experience the pink inner foreskin bunching up against the head where it was swollen when you got an erection while it was healing? I'm 17 by the way, if that helps, and the doctor who circumcised me used the sleeve resection freehand method. Please don't look online and re-write what you read in a response, I only want replies from people who have gotten cut during their teen years. Thanks.

I just had it done last week, so I won't be able to give advice as I'm still healing as well.

Sorry off topic but if it wasn't done when you were born then why now? mine was when i was born so i had no choice and i dont remember it but oh god no I wouldn't want to do it now or ever if i didn't have to.

Because I wanted it done, I prefer the look and it feels great. There is NO loss of sensitivity, it feels different but not less sensitive in any way, just different. That's my personal opinion, and I stand by it. Plus, it's cleaner which is an added bonus.

I was circumcised when I was 9 years old for a medical reason; urine was having a hard time coming out or something.
Frankly, I'm not sure why they needed to circumcise me but I don't mind too much -- I wasn't at that age where I knew about sensitivity and whatnot.

Hey, I needed 3-4 weeks to heal, but I did it at 12, so my penis hadn't really started to grow, if yours has, it should take more time because there is more tissue to heal ^^
