Yeah, you must always always use a condom. Even if you've been going out with someone for a long time, it's still sensible to use a condom. Buy extra strong, or extra secure condoms as these are less likely to break. It will probably hurt your first time, so go slowly, also, buy some proper lube like KY Jelly and don't be afraid to use it. Only do it if you're really ready, it's not something that should be entered into lightly.

I advised him against it because I feel it would be very irresponsible to tell him otherwise. The fact that it is his life means that him and only him will have to suffer the consequences. sphinx is right but I can agree with sabin to some extent but of course sex at an age like 13 is really not the thing to do. I think you can wait it out for sex.
