Yep, this. A lot of suggestions have been actually implemented, and personally I think it's made VT a better place. We can't succeed without the awesome ideas from our members

And my suggestion (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=81573) to have a setting to hide chosen forums completely, which was made quite a long time ago (at the bottom of Edit Options (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions), named "Forums To Exclude From View")

We can't say yes to every suggestion. It may look like we say no a lot, but really, we just can't say yes to every or even most suggestions, just due to the number we get.

If we said yes to even 20% of suggestions we get, then this site would be a big cluttered mess. Which is why we say no to so many of them.
It may look like we're mean, but it's because we don't want to distract from the true purpose of this site: helping teens. And many suggestions make us seem social network-esque, which we are not.

woah is everyone a global mod now... and they are all below the age of majority? things have changed...!
I would only add to the above by saying.... actually, the vast majority of the time members here ARE snobbish about change and like to put down each others suggestions rather than discussing them. But it is true they cannot all be implemented.

I agree with everything that's been said, but I have one thing to add. Most suggestions, if implemented, would just steer this site in the wrong direction. As said before, even in this thread, we are a help site, and nothing more. Sure, a flash board game on the bottom of page would be fun, but Virtual Teen is not about that. Our main goal is to help teens with any problems they are having. If you want social networking, go to a social networking site, not Virtual Teen.

geeeeeeee talk about menorrhagia. I wasn't actually being sarcastic but you didn't pick that up huh, not totally surprising! I don't know if you remember when all our gmods used to be like 50 but i dont think it was the most comfortable thing for our users, better that they are more approachable now

A lot of suggestions have been implemented very recently which has been nice but you've got think is a suggestion going mass benefit the site and does it disrupt the way the site works and operates.
I personally feel that some suggestions aren't beneficial enough or would work against a group or minority which isn't what VT generally does.
