Pain in the butt after coming out

So about a month and a half ago, I came out as gay/bi, which is what I felt was the best way to describe me, but now I feel as if I could never ask a girl out without it being treated like a joke. I presently have a huge crush on this girl, but I think she would turn me down since I came out. What should I do? PS I'm pretty shy in situations like this.

like my mom says if the worst they can say is no. then ask.
best advice I can give you it to not worry about if people take you seriously or not or if she knows your out or not. Be yourself and ask.
