Why do people get banned? I mean one of my "friends" who was the first person to welcome me got banned and I would never expect it. I know you can't share reasons, but how can we get banned? I just want to know so I don't make the same mistake.

Look through the rules and FAQ (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/faq.php).

Don't you think they'd learn after a warning though.

One would think, yes. But sometimes they don't. People get banned for a variety of reasons, ranging from rule breaking to infraction buildup to having more than one account, and more. It's sad sometimes, but yeah, people just can't follow some simple rules, I guess.

Sigh, do people never read that FAQ sticky?

23. Why was this member banned?

Staff members are not allowed to disclose information regarding the banning of members.
If they were, fights could break out, and it is rude to the banned member anyway, so it is just not done.
Click this link (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showpost.php?p=1962149&postcount=16) for a full, thorough reason as to why we do not publicly disclose ban information.

A member was banned because s/he broke the rules (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/faq.php?faq=rules).

Well you've got to remember this is the internet, first impressions can be false. Moderators have been banned in the past too, you never know someone's true intentions until you get to know them.

A lot of people get banned for soliciting members for sex and picture trading mainly, thanks to P101 and the impression it gives off. There are also bans due to infraction buildups or bashing or fighting staff.
