Okay guys, I thought I would revive an old thread.
http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=19200
As the title says, just post pics of your desk or computer setup.
The monitor is hooked up to my Dell (Grey Computer tower) and the white tower is an old Compaq Presario 5204, which is just for show.
The tablet like computer is going to serve as a media center for me to store movies and TV on. It will connect to my TV Via S-Video cable.

Bad Quality, but I love my set up! It's simple and easy to use! And yeh.. it was a laptop, but I may have dropped it, thats why I got the new monitor.. but apart from that ;)

Took me 7 hours to put together the actual desk a few weeks ago, by myself.
On the right is my server monitor, it had running nothing at the time.
On the left is my laptop I have connected up to my main monitor. I generally use the laptop screen for xchat(IRC Client) and stuff like that.

Nothing too fancy.
The bigger screen is what I use for my PC, PS3, and occasionally my laptop.
The smaller one is for the PS2, since unfortunately the picture quality is really low. Otherwise I'd totally use it as a second screen.
Underneath that, there's the PS2.
http://i.imgur.com/5V0fPsv.jpg
There's the PC(my trusty renovated Pentium 4 server), and the PS3 in the background. I should really dust it off, now that I look at it.
And of course the web of cables against the wall. I can identify about half of them right now :whoops:

Inside the PC. Its hostname is the-matrix. Cute, isn't it? :P

Closeup. That's DDR1 RAM -- 3 GB of it(2x 512MB + 2x 1GB).
The coil of wires is twist-tied to the RS232 cable not pictured here.

But here's the best feature: built in cup holder!

Is that cup holder an old Disk drive? I see there's only a Digital disk logo on it.

It's from 2002, so it's only CD-ROM. I don't know what brand it is, either. I think it started with an "S".
The reason I have it is because my BIOS refuses to boot from DVD. So to install openSUSE quickly, I burn a "network install" CD and boot that. Then I put the DVD with all the software(the normal DVD ISO) in the DVD drive and set the "repository" to be that. Much faster than downloading it all.

My computer refuses to detect anything on the second IDE expansion slot, so I've got two CD drives which are both useless.

Too lazy to post my pic, but lets just say my desktop PC is tiny and rather weak. It has 2 GB of RAM (1.73 GB usable) but it feels like there's about half that. It gets the job done, though.
But my monitor is nice and large (1920x1080, I think 22" diagonal). Easy to see and good quality.

The screen on the left is my secondary display (also used for Xbox) - I only use it when programming because I have either task management or code I've written in the past which I can reuse on it. Normally it would be switched off if I'm just browsing, but I turned it on for the picture ;)
The speakers are connected to my router, so I can play music over the network wirelessly.
You can also see my watch, batteries and a USB memory stick if you look closely :P

This is a pretty old picture. I've since changed the wallpaper, and it's a lot messier. I practically live at my desk, so it's constantly messy. I used to be obsessed with games, so I set up the old monitor on the left so I could chat on Facebook while I shot people in the face. :yeah: Now, I mostly use it for managing Spotify while I browse Tumblr. But I still play games sometimes.

I have never even filled 3 GB. The most was 2.8 GB, and that was right before Firefox crashed.

Gah, Alienware! I hate them! Massively overpriced computers, running various bits of firmware by Alienware, limiting the crap out of you.... You you want a good, computer, build it yourself, it is half the cost of an Alienware PC (and probably better...) and its yours to do what you like with.

Well now, Alienware are amazing computers, They have great customizability on the internals and it will all be done professionally for you including cable management and such. I agree building your own would be cheaper but if you really enjoy the cases from alienware it's difficult to find one just lying around on the internet. And the cases are the best part for it in my eyes. I built my own computer and would never buy an alienware, However they are good computers.

The first and last times I have used an Alienware (laptop) was about 2 years ago. From what I remember they weren't too unusual. It ran Autodesk just fine, and that's really all we used them for at school.
They were refurbished, gotten with money donated by Chevron for some reason.

I did not say they were bad computers themselves, spec wise, but it is more of the company that make them and the users (I say this whilst having friends with Alienware computers, and this does not apply to everyone) I hear people saying (more like showing off...) that they have Alienware PC's but if I ask the specs of it they have absolutely no clue, which annoys me! IF you are going to spend hundreds of pounds buying a good PC and showing it off to your friends you should probably know what you actually have!

Alienware is owned by Dell and because of this, I highly doubt you can upgrade anything. I had a Dell and everything was the wrong way up and un-upgradeable. Burn in Hell, Dell (and Alienware)

I sit at the dining room table, since my room which has a table that I used to sit at during high school gets hot over the summer. So my "desk" is the dining room table. Allows me to eat lunch while going on the laptop >_>
During the school year I have a desk in the dorm room
