Do i have a possible relationship?

Monday we had a free day in speech class and this girl who sits next to me asked me if I was going to prom. I said, "No, because I have no reason". She asked me if I was going to our senior prom(we're both juniors). I replied, "if I have a reason". She said, "you could go with friends", she also mentioned that I have to go to my the senior prom. I just kinda brushed her off and continued to play a computer game( I was going on 3:30 of sleep). Later that night, it came to me that she may be hinting something. The bad thing is prom is the 18th and tickets are no longer being sold. I would say that she is an eight out of ten. I weigh 320 lbs and don't think I'm attractive at all, so I have no idea why she would like me. I already knew that she was going with friends because her and her boyfriend broke up a few weeks ago. I don't know if she likes me or if I'm just a rebound it if she is just trying to be nice. We talk every school day, but that is about it. I am also way too socially awkward to know what to so next, so some advice in that neighborhood would also be helpful. Thank you in advance if I don't reply.

When she asked you, you said that you'd go if you had a reason. In her mind, she was thinking that probably she could be the reason. Also you could go with a group of friends so it is not awkward for you. I am certainly not saying that you have to ask her. If she brings it up again, maybe then you could say something...

Well, prom is out of the question, but should I ask her out? I have never dated before so I am totally lost in this situation, haha.

ask her to the movies and its a win win cuz if the movie is good she will like it and then u will know if she likes u :)

I wish it was that easy for me. I am terrified of rejection. I would love to go out with her though. Should I try to ask for her number or just skip straight to a movie? Also any other input would be amazing. I could also use advice on how to ask her out/for her number.
