I shaved chest and stomach hair once and it grew back darker. Personally, I think that hair is nasty. And so is armpit hair. For those athletes--or even others--out there, do you shave your pits, chest, or stomach? What's your method?

I shave pits - pubes - happy trail - just feels better for me - my bros shave as well -so do some mates.
I just use a disposable razor the one with the lube strip and have a body groomer kit Mum got me - its battery oped. wet or dry use.
Its just personal choice - not every one wants to -

Nobody in my school shaves so cant help u there, I just wanted to point out that hair does not grow darker or thicker, it just seems like it because of the way its been cut. I the hair grows it will feel softer.

If you hate it so much, you should wax it. It'll pull out the roots and take much longer to grow back. A lot of people wax where they cannot stand hair at all, so waxing is a good method.

waxing hurts like a bitch though.. i stole some wax strips from my mom and it was so difficult to do it to myself.

Shaving pubes makes it look an extra inch ir so longer, i shave everywhere except my legs just with a battery powered razor and then a disposable body razor

It doesn't grow back darker nor thicker. It's a myth.
Most people shave body hair either for two reasons, swimming or aesthetics. Weightlifters shave to show the muscle, because it makes it look bigger and better, while swimmers do it for speed.
Most people only shave their chest and stomach region, while bodybuilders or weightlifters shave stomach and chest and legs. Sometimes even arms. But that isn't as common. Very few people shave armpit hair. I'm not comfortable with mine, but it's socially unacceptable for guys to shave their armpits. Don't know why, so don't argue that with me. Typically, most girls are alright with arm, leg, and armpit hair. While others are ok with hair everywhere, while others hate all hair.
I shave my chest and stomach, only if I'm going to swim or something like that. I don't shave my back, because there really isn't hair back there. But I'm till self conscience in case there is. Personally, I love body hair, on other guys. On me, I'm self conscience about it haha
Waxing is painful as fuck, so instead you could just do hair remover, which I'm going to try some day. Waxing is also expensive, because it can cost anywhere from $30-$100 and you'd have to do it every 1-2 weeks, whereas hair remover is $10 and it lasts almost as long as waxing, if not as long.

How do I go about asking my mother to avoid awkwardness? I was thinking f texting her while she was out running errands or something to avoid talking directly. What do you think? I was thinking f getting cream.

I shave my facial hair, however I only trim my pits and crotch. By the looks of things when we have showers in the locker room, it seems to be what most of the guys in my school do.

:O I use a detachable four blade razor. I swap the blades out when it starts getting dull. I dislike body hair everywhere so I shave it AAAALL. Legs, arms, armpit etc. I tried hair removal and it's ok, but it's annoying having to apply it and having to wait for it to work, plus some of the higher strength ones like VEET leave spots and rashes :(. And waxing hurts waaay too much, plus both of those are expensive to keep using. ^^ Shaving is way cheaper and way easier to do!

I shave only the lowest 7cm's (3inch) of my legs so if my long pants go a little bit up you dont see lots of hair
