So, I don't have my ears pierced. I want to get my ear lobes pierced, but I don't know where the best place to get them done is. I got it done about 2/3 years ago at Claire's, but not an entirely good experience. They used the white plastic things that looked like staplers, and two different women did them at the same time (one on each side). The one lady had to punch it three times, which hurt a ton. After, it didn't hurt a lot, which made me glad. They were just sore. Later, one ear got infected and I had to let them close up. Where should I get it done? I want it done cleanly and professionally. My mom suggested the doctor, but how will they do it? Where did you get yours pierced and were you happy?

Thanks~

I actually got mine done at claires, and I had a good experience. I've gotten all my piercings there (2 on each lobe and 3 total cartilages) done. I've found it works better if you have one person use the gun twice, because it's hard for two people to coordinate it to be done at once. It doesn't hurt /that/ badly anyways, imo. I don't recommend the doctors, I didn't even know doctors did ear piercings. I recommend going to a piercing place - be it claires again or a place at a local mall (i don't know what kinds of stores your malls have, but like there's a place called piercing pagoda (i think) here and i think people here go there sometimes). I think you'll be fine anywhere really, as long as you clean them and take care of them and such. It just sounds like you were unlucky that time, with a bad gun and such.

It's not very wise to get piercings at places like Claire's. There's no guarantee that they're even experienced. Just go to a piercing parlor.

I got mine done at Walmart and I turned out okay haha. I'd say go with a piercing parlor if you can...but if you can't, there's always Walmart :D

It's best to get piercings done at an actual piercing shop. Places like Claires use those cheap plastic piercing guns... which are VERY unsanitary. They cannot be cleaned properly. Also the person doing it is in no way trained on how to properly pierce someone. They are usually just a clerk or sales person.

Most Tattoo and Piercing shops will do it properly with a sterilized needle.

Thank you! :)

I don't know...Maybe I shouldn't get it done because I am totally scared of needles...Especially coming near my head... :/
