Bug?

I have noticed with a couple of threads, that where it says "Last Post" that when I post, it incorrectly lists the last poster. A couple of times I have posted on a thread and it lists who posted before me. I confirmed that it had posted, refreshed the page, cleared cache and cookies, and closed and reopened VT. Is this a common bug?

I've never seen that before, and after seeing this post I looked around the forums and all of the last posters listed seemed to be correct. Do you have any links or examples of where this is happening?

How often does this happen? Is it possible that someone else posted at the same time as you (or during the time it took you to make your reply?)

This has happened a few times for me (if I understand what you're saying correctly). If you respond to a thread when you aren't on the last page of it, and then click "new posts," it may show your name as the last poster. This is because you never technically "read" the thread.

What also may happen is that you click "New Posts," click a thread, and in the time from clicking the thread to when the page finishes loading, another member replied.

I've had that happen to me (unless our problems are completely different). I made a post in The Official Send a Message thread (actually, I don't remember if it was that thread but I know it was one of the stickies in TWPR), but there were some problems, the site was laggy. I did end up getting it posted, but it didn't put me as the last poster when viewing TWPR. When you go to the last post, you are not taken to my post but the one above it; you had to scroll down a bit to see mine. It worked right again after a few more posts were made, though.

Oh, I wish I had taken a screenshot. Both threads (that I remember) have been bumped and posted on by other members, now displaying as correct. Next time it happens, I will take a screenshot. :)

Ah, well I wish I had known you were on a Nook when this was happening. When you hit back on a mobile device it doesn't always (depending on the device) refresh the browser page when you hit back -- it instead just literally brings up the last screen. If you reload the page or go back into the section then it will refresh your browser.

It happens on my laptop as well. I just happen to be on my nook now.
And I do refresh (I click on VT arcade so it reloads or click refresh).

See, the most recent post was at 8:47 (which was loaded) and I posted at 8:36.
