I need help. How do you use a MySql database to create a PHPBB forum? I've got that blue page with the structure and blah blah blah, I just need help getting PHPBB from not there, to there.

I've figured it out, but I have to wait until the domain transfer goes through before I have "full" ftp access and can change the chmod.

That's probably it, I'm surprised that they didn't give you it in the email.

The domain transfer hasn't gone through yet, so any new pages that I put on don't take affect until the transfer is completed. That means that I can't access them to change the chmod. Yet. They say about a week.

no, You can still accsess them, they should give you an email that has a link that looks something like this:

http://theirdomain.com/~habook

and if they haven't, then they're not that good of a host.

It's ftp.laughsaplenty.com when the domain transfer goes through, it uses the domain name so it won't work until it does.

I know but you can still get to your account without a domain, and if they didn't send you the host link then they're not worth it, I'd email them about it.
