How to forget a crush?

I know, I know, it's the same thing all the time, "Just put him out of your life" but in my case I can't. I mean, pretty much everything we do we are in together: Gifted classes, advanced band, all-state/all-county bands, math competition teams, SATs, Etc. There is no way I can take him completely out of my life without destroying my academic future. I try to do things that take my mind off of him, but there is always something that will remind me of him. I know I can't ever forget him, but how can I stop thinking about him romantically? I am always thinking about him and I have really liked him for 2 years and known him for 6. I always wonder, "What if he likes me?" But I cant just wait around. My parents would never let me date, and I can't stop thinking about him. I just want to be with him forever and to make him happy, but that will never happen, unfortunately. I still want to be his friend and to be able to work with him, but how can I diminish my romantic feelings for him?

Just go on with life like normal. I had this huge crush on a girl I still see every day. Eventually, I just sorta forgot that I liked her. He's in a lot of activities with you so that's tough but you'll just have to let time take care of this one. It worked for me eventually, after a long time. It'll hurt but it will work. I've had 3 crushes so far and I've realized that none of them could ever work out but time's taken care of each one. Don't stress about it. It'll be fine.

Time...what a horrible word. :P It's so hard, I think about him a lot, and lots of things remind me of him. :/ I just hope it doesn't take forever...I'll probably graduate before I forget..

You never forget crushes I think, I've heard mum talk about her crush from when she was 12 even
Just have to file it into the not for now box and try not to obsess

Well, I meant something along the lines of how to forget for the most part. I know one can't really forget completely. I still think about that girl I see every day, sometimes, but not the way I used to, nor as often as I used to.

try to find another guy and mabey like do stuff with another guy and then u will like that guy instead of the guy that u like now :) crushes suck by they way when they dont like ya back haha
