In April 14, 2013 elections were held in Venezuela, the two main candidates being Nicolas Maduro and Henrique Capriles. During the day there seemed to be normal procedures in most places except for a few sites where voting was assisted when it was supposed to be private. There seemed to be reports where planes from Cuba started arriving to certain airports, but not confirmed.

During the night disturbances started happening, there were tweets saying that closed voting centers were being opened, and that votes were being inserted. Dead people were being reported to have voted as well. There were tweets from groups of students who had stayed defending their votes saying that they were being attacked by socialist bike-riders. After all voting centers closed at 6:00 PM it took the CNE (the organization that counts the votes) until 12:00 to announce the results. Nicolas Maduro had won by a slight difference of 200,000 votes. With 50.6% of votes.

Following that one of the leaders of the CNE asked for the votes to be re-counted, which Maduro did not allow, the opposition asked for that as well, Maduro and the socialists denied it again. I ask you reader, if he is so sure he won why is he denying the re-counting of votes?

Protests still go on till today not only in Venezuela, but also in Uruguay and Argentina, and the parties have been attacking each other back and forth. Some countries have recognized Maduro as legitimate, others have not.

The socialist parties have been known for cheating in previous elections and have been discovered various times, so I ask you reader, is Maduro legitimate? I say no, 200,000 votes is a ridiculous thing, with all the disturbances it is easy to say he cheated.

What do you think?

I'm only gonna make my answer based on what I'm reading, so I say no, it is not legitimate, it seems the Socialist Party, again must have cheated, and the leader knows it, so the re-counted was denied. They have also been know to have cheat before, so I would think that they are lying once again.
