confused. What makes you want to be in a relationship?

Hi everyone.
Most of my friends have had girlfriends or want to have girlfriends. The thing is I dont understand. I can understand the physical attraction, but when people start talking about "liking", "having a crush" or "loving" I'm just lost :what:. I usually pretend I'd like to be dating someone but the truth is I actually dont.

What do those things mean to you? What makes you want to be in a relationship?

Some people are more lovey dovey than others. Me personally, I'm a huge sucker for love. :P I want to give my heart to a girl more than anything else in the whole world. I want to make her happy :)

It also could come with age. You might be a little young before the hormones kick in. :/

There are two main types of "love". There is love and their is infatuation or a crush. Love is a mature feeling. It is an attraction to the person. Infatuation is a crush. Generally this is an attraction to the body. A way to think of it is: "I need you because I love you" and "I love you because I need you." The first one symbolizes love, while the other symbolizes infatuation.

What I want is love. I want someone who cares about me, for who I am. I want to be with my other half.

I'd say I'm with Charlie on this one. :P Love is a mature feeling, it can make you happy, but it can also make you feel horrible. Some people just gag at the thought of marriage and devotion, while it can bring others to their knees.

But trust me, it can be a good thing that you don't have attraction to others yet. :P Just live your life, there will be someone for you.
