So I'm wanting to get the iPhone 5, but I have t mobile. If I get the new iPhone, can I keep my current plan? My current plan is unlimited text with 300 mins of talk time. No Internet or anything like that. If I get the iPhone 5 with tmobile, do I have to sign up on a special plan?

Nah, you can take out more than one contract, but you'll be paying for both. Who is your current plan with?

I believe you must have Sprint, AT&T , or Verizon to have an iPhone.

I don't like TMobs or Sprint because I know a lot of friends that have a lot of coverage issues with them. And sprint doesn't support 4gLTE data.
And are you a hundred percent decided on an iPhone?

Sprint does support 4G LTE data actually. I have it and it works spectacular.
To OP: you can buy an iP5 on eBay and then unlock it, or pay someone to unlock it. Then you can pop in a T-Mobile SIM. One thing though, you need a data plan to use the iPhone. Trust me, before I got a data plan I tried to let Sprint give me one without a data plan but they said the iPhone uses minimal amounts of data for iOS stuff so you can't put a regular plan on it or the iPhone won't function.

They don't have a lot of coverage areas in the us.
They have their LTE in only like 20 cities across the country.
They're not in the San Fran Bay Area for ex.

Yes they are :)
Mostly all of San Mateo/Foster City is covered in LTE and so is the freeway.

Are you sure it's actual LTE? It's different than just 4g.

Yes, my iPhone shows LTE all the time. My entire house, my school, the freeway, etc
