View Full Version : A bit gross, but bear with me

This is a tad disgusting, so if you don't like that, I'd suggest you turn back now.
So, today we had hard-shell tacos at school. Since the line had to move so slow because of time to make tacos, I ended up with only five minutes to eat my tacos. I ate fairly quickly, and I didn't chew one of my bites quite enough. Around two minutes after swallowing that, I felt a great, sharp pain in my chest that traveled down into my stomach. Throughout the day to even now, I've been having a really, really slight dull pain in my lower chest. I also had a bowel movement. It was mostly normal, except that it had a really large amount of blood in it. Should I be worried? And should I go to the doctor for this?

Nah, I wouldn't worry about it. It's fairly common to do something like that. It might hurt like hell, but in a day or so you won't even remember it happened. On the off chance that you keep hurting after tomorrow, I'd call a doctor.

Hmm, maybe you should research it? It sounds kinda bad.

I would honestly go to a doctor about it.

Yeah, it should dissolve in your stomach within a day or two. If it doesn't and it persists with pain. You should get checked up. Though other than that you should be fine.

If by tomorrow, there's still a lot of blood when you go to the bathroom then you should see a doctor.

Today and yesterday I discovered bleeding again. I may mention it to my doctor soon. However, I'm not thinking it's too serious, since I feel absolutely no pain.

That doesn't necessarily mean that nothing is wrong. If you ever see blood, it's not really a good sign. You could have torn something, which would be why you're seeing blood. I would bring it up to a parent/doctor as soon as you can.

I literally just talked to my mom a minute ago about this. She doesn't want to take me to the doctor because she doesn't think that this is serious. "You're a thirteen year old. If you were forty, this would be different story." I mean, I definitely want to be seen for this, but I don't think I can go without the consent of my mom.
EDIT: So, I researched it, and apparently this happens to a lot of people. At best this is just mild laceration in my esophagus and stomach. Though, it should of healed in less than 24 hours. It hasn't. Hmm. I might try to go to the doctor in that case.

Lord have mercy. It's probably just a small cut on your insides, I wouldn;t worry too much about it. If it persists after a couple days, see the doc.

Lord have mercy on you too, brother. I'll have you know, I was just trying to be safe. Because I know firsthand that internal bleeding is not to be taken lightly. And the bleeding has been persisting, have you read this? I am seeing the doctor, so don't worry, bro.

Pain doesnt indicate whether you need to see a doctor or not. Blood coming from your anal cavity, yeah go ahead and laugh, or your urethra means that your body has an internal problem. --Usually the acid in your stomach breaks down all food into waste and it leaves the body in the mushy form such as poop. So that probably is not the reason why you are bleeding. I would see a doctor just in case, better safe than sorry.
Are you sure you didnt eat anything more solid like. Because people mistakenly eat coins or rings, or even small sharp solid figures that are not food and it scraches the intestines and may get stuck. I doubt you did, but just think about that. Because who knows what is in that school food

Nope I'm pretty sure, it was the piece of hard shell I stupidly neglected to chew. I felt that thing go down my throat. Though, it may be worth a look to see if the chip got stuck. Also, in your first paragraph are you implying that I think I may not exactly have laceration in my stomach and whatnot, but hemorrhoids? Because I'm not catching anything in that. But thanks for your concern. It's enlightened me about this whole situation.

What I'm saying is that it is a highly unlikely chance that you shit the chip out. It may be also in your stomach or you may have a hemorrhoid. Have you had any sharp pain go from the tip of your ass and shoot upwards? Then that is a hemorrhoid. Other than that, just go to the doc.

That means theres blood within it, but the blood came from the more upper part of the digestive tract, you are doing the right thing by going to the doctors, good luck.

Okay, the black stool is from Pepto-Bismol (bismuth) and what resulted from eating the taco is probably already healed, the doctor told me. This is now cleared up. Thanks guys!
