So, I did a post about this with a different excerpt, however I would like to share my favourite part now that I have progressed quite well with my story. Please tell me what you think and if you would like to read more. You might recognize similarities from a scene in Saint Seiya.

Backstory: The characters in the excerpt are Saga and Durel, Saga is the main character, he used to be a sith apprentice before he got turned into a jedi. Durel was his best friend as a sith apprentice, they met again after four years, Durel fought Saga and he ended up being redeemed. After that Durel fought with his master, he was out-powered but was able to take his master with him, in this excerpt Durel's soul comes to say goodbye to Saga.

Saga gazed at the Valley of Golg, and admired its beauty during the sunset, he wondered what was Durel's final fate as he sat there, all alone. "It is unusual how such a dark planet could end up having such a beautiful place." Saga recognized that voice, it was none other than Durel. "Enjoy this landscape, before long, you will cease to see beauty," stated Durel stoically. "I thought you were gone for good, I am glad to see otherwise." Durel then stared at Saga with a face filled with sadness, "Saga, you need to be strong, many will think that your quest is impossible, I thought that too, however you convinced me otherwise. We are to be separated, but I will always be with you no matter the circumstances." Saga then understood, Durel had died, he had given up his life because he firmly believed in him. "It would have been a true privilege to fight at your side for more time, but now you have to guide yourself towards becoming one with the force." Durel's soul felt some kind of impulse, as if he had to go soon. "You were my brother in training and combat, I will finish what you gave up your life for, but our friendship is not over yet," replied the sad jedi knight, as his eye released a tear. "I have to thank you for guiding me to light, letting me see the truth. If it were possible, I would love to keep talking." Saga stood up, "do not worry friend, we will see each other again some day, we can wait a little longer." What Saga said brought a smile to Durel's face, a flash of light then surrounded him and went towards the sky, Saga looked up, shedding tears of sadness. "Goodbye, old friend."
