This is somthing I feel should be talked about. I think that people who are under the age of 18 should not engage in sexual experiences because they are to immature to handle such things. I think that there not ready for it. What about you?

i see where u coming from, but i feel that if the state can permit someone to leave school and go anf find full employment, the state must see them competent and mature to a certain extent, i feel the same, so i also feel they are ready to have sex, on a different point i also feel the voting age should be reduced to 16 as well, but thats beside the point.

actually im glad you brought that up. And I have a good example of why to not have 16 the voteing age. In france they lowered it down considerably, to like 16. And the last presidents left to vote for was a fashist and a dirty republican. Those 4 years france was tossed into an economic depression and the leader was impeached. Now france has moved the voteing age back to 18. Keep the politics to smarter and more experienced people and leave teenagers out of it.

i find it hard to believe that the lowering of the voting age to 16 would gravely influence the outcome of an election, however a lot of young people are very intrested in politics and i feel that they should have as much say as everyone else. if u are old enough to work and pay taxes to an administration, u should be abvle to elect that administration.

honestly..why should they care what happens? They should care so they can protect them. Can you imagine if all these young teens were pregnant? There would be little to support the new born kids. The teens probably do not have alot of money. So the teens will probably get into crime to support the new baby. Then eventually the baby will get into crime as well. And it will be just one big cycle. All of them will go on well fare and the tax payers will have to support them. So, if you have young teens getting pregnant, it will most likely raise the persentage of crime and poverty. Then you people will be complaining that we suck because there is so much crime and poor.
To summerize, no sex till after 16.

no u just need to teach safe safe earlier, like right when people start reaching puberty. i remember my first sex ed was in 5th grade. we were so young that when we actually realized what we were doing, we burst out laughing and the teacher gave us 5 minutes to just get the laughing out of our system. everything should start there. the governments stance on abstinance is stupid, and everyone should be taught that sex is good and fun, so long as you take precautions to protect yourself

I have a good example of why sex at 16 is bad. In africa the average age is 15 years old. most mothers are between 13 and 18. over 80 percent of the people are infected with hiv. and most of the children die shortly after birth. because so many young people get pregnet they end up not getting good jobs, because they are caring for the baby. how swell, i know i want to live in a world more like that

This is what I believe it should be, and I think the law agrees with me on most aspects. Sex is fine at any age as long as you are able to handle it. Now, I think that anyone under the age of 18 should be able to have sex with anyone within 3 years of them. I don't want a 13 year old having sex with a 17 year old, too much of a difference. If a 13 year old and a 17 year old fall for each other, too bad, wait for the 13 year old to hit 18.

I do not think they are fake. You can not make that stuff up. Plus, jerry already went through that whole aligations and court thing to see if it was fake. It was found to be not.

My opinion: I DON'T THINK ANYONE SHOULD HAVE SEX UNTIL THEY ARE MARRIED. There are so may STD's out there... and why have some stupid one night stand??? My personal opinion is you should only have sex when you are truly in love... none of that lust shit. you do understand that if even an 18 year old has sex with a 16 year old, because the 16 year old was a minor and the 18 year old was an adult, its considered rape. However if the 16 had sex with a 13 year it would not be rape unless the parents consider it rape. Its sooo confusing. btw, i think that its only like that in america. but if you look at the case of sarah johnson, she killed her parents, she was 16 and had sex with her 18 year old boy friend, her parents found out, where going to file lawsuite for sactchatory rape and the daughter killed her parents because she didnt want her boyfriend to get in trouble.
